Details

Although the cardinal features of PD focus on motor signs (tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia and postural instability), research is turning attention to the premotor phase. Changes in olfaction, REM sleep behavior disorder and dysautonomia may comprise a prodromal phase of PD that will be helpful in testing neuroprotective therapies in PD. Many premotor symptoms effecting olfaction, cognitive psychiatric symptoms, sleep, autonomic nervous symptom, imaging and other “subtle” symptoms are outlined in this course.

Part of the Coffee Break CME Series. The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

This module will take approximately 2 hours to complete.

Faculty- Dr. Brit Mollenhauer, Dr. Claudia M. Trenkwalder, Dr. Friederike Sixel Döring, Dr. Jan Kassubek, Dr. Malco Rossi
