Tremor is the most common involuntary movement disorder in adults and requires the correct diagnosis to determine the appropriate treatment. Taking this course provides the clinician with the tools needed to distinguish between the three most common types of tremor: essential, parkinsonian, and dystonia. These tools include: a step-by-step guide to the diagnosis exam, examination tips, what to look for in the patient history, which medications may cause tremor, and key symptoms (non-tremor) for determining the correct diagnosis. Further, patient videos, corresponding diagnoses with reasoning, and treatments are included for clinicians to practice their diagnostic skills.

This module is approximately 40 minutes in length.

Faculty: Steven Frucht and Christine Stahl
